ONK WIFE TOO M \V.Henry O. Turrm Mormon andLores loo Hell lint Not Wisely.On last Sunday morning, Nov.ia, as Henry G. Mason formerly of Terra Alta but who has recently been turning up in different parts of the State and in different kinds of states, was arrested at Hagerstown, Md,, on the serious charge of hav-ing one wife too many. It appears that about one year ago Mr. Mason met a handsome school ruarm as they were traveling on the railroad together and it seems that it was a case of love at first sight and their meeting soon wore into friendship, then courtship and then came the marriage. The lady. Miss Sadie I'aught, who's home if in Wirt county and who is a graduate of a well known business college and has been a teacher in the Business College at Eric, Pa. and is at present Teacher of Stenography of the Hagerstown Business College was led on by the misrepresentations of Mr. Mason who already has a wife living at Terra Alta and four small children. It appears that Mr. Mason passed himself off as Kobeit G. Bronson and represented himself to be worth a million dollars and was passing off as a detective and to cover up the detective business was selling horses in Wirt county, and he said his detective name was H. G. Mason. On October 8th he was married at the brides parents in Wirt county under the name of Robert G. Bronson aged 37 years while the lady gave her age as jo summers. The marriage was said to be one of splendor and gaiety and they went on their honeymoon tour to Jackson county at Ripley and there Mr. Mason took up his business as detective and selling horses and it appears that he sold a horse for the Hartman Stock Farm at Columbus, Ohio and never paid them for it and beat them out of about $700 and about this time wife number one at Terra Alta was getting impatient for Henry's appearance and wrote to this Stock Farm as to his whereabouts and they in turn sent the letter to Henry and about the same time the brothers of wife number two began to get suspicious and also wrote the Stock Farm and told them of their brother-in-law and the Stock Company just sent them a copy of Mrs. Masons letter, wife number one. This begun to let the cat out of the basket and they began to investigate and found that Mr. and Mrs. Mason had left Ripley and had gone to Hagerstown where Mrs. Mason wife number two hail resumed her work in the business college and Henry had secured a position as news boy and was traveling on trains thgt would pass through Terra Alta where he would meet wife number one and fondly caress and kiss her. The brothers of wife number two writing to Terra Alta found out all about Mr. Mason and ihe double life he was leading and they Immediately came to Terra Alta and got the necessary facts and had a warrant sworn out In Wirt county and he was arrested as above stated and on Tuesday evening he was taken through Terra Alia on his way to Wirt county for trial. His wife number two never knew of any trouble what ever until the police had him under arrest and then she was told the sad sad story and on Tuesday of this week Mr. D. S. Hollcn of Terra Alta broke the news to Mrs. H. G. Mason, wife number one, and her family of small children. The scene was a sad one and much sympathy is expressed for her. Their home was recently sold under a mortgage ami during Mr. Masons recent visit to Terra Alta,which has been since his marriage, said that he had been in a hospital in the state of Ohio with a bad attack of fever but it appears he was in the state of matrimony instead and now the honey moon is over and Henry will have to begin to work in all possibilities, wearing striper! clothes. 1 he way of Ihe transgressor is hard
