Jury selection starts Monday in Lukas caseBy Ann BorgmannGajrette StaffJury selection is to start Monday in the trial of a Janesville man who is charged in the sexual assault of his wife.Donald Lukas, 67, 1400 Joliet, has pleaded innocent to charges that he forced himself on his new bride in the weeks after their Jan. 10 wedding.The 36-year-old woman, now divorced from Lukas, contends that the couple decided before the wedding that their marriage would not include sex. She told police that Lukas said a medical condition prevented him from having sex.She alleges that Lukas violated their agreement several times during their marriage, and she moved out three weeks later.Lukas is charged with felony third-degree sexual assault and misdemeanor fourth-degree sexual assault.On Monday, Eock County Judge James Daley ruled that Lukas’ lawyers could question the woman about four sexual harassmentclaims she filed in 1989 while working as a pharmacy aide in Fort Wayne, Ind.However, Daley said defenseTurntoTRIAL/2B
