Three Rebuttal WitnessesThree rebuttal witnesses were of* fered Thursday morning. Raymond Short. 25. of Tahoka testified that he carried Miss Plynah Gates, who now is Mrs. Short, to Doctor Boone here June 9. Hi* testified he told Doctor Boone that Dr. K. C. Stacy,; a Tahoka chiropractor, sent the young woman to Doctor Boone. Be also testified that he told poetor Boone that he (Short) had *10 sent by Dcctor Stacy and that other arrangements had been made by the two chiropractors at Post.Short declared Doctor Boone asked them to return that afternoon when no one else was in the office. After Mrs. Short had been in the doctor's private office, the chiropractor told Short, he testified, that she was ready to go back home. Short said he was asked to drive over rough roads with her.He told me to tell Stacy. If she got to cramping, to remove the gauze. said Short who testified he had served 10 months in the statepenitentiary for arson.Dr. Allen T. Stewart, another rebuttal witness for the prosecution, testified that iodine, placed at the mouth of a womb, would tend to cause it to contract and empty. He wild that a speculum.
