EXCHANGE NOTES.THE WAGONER MUDKU TRIAL. Speucer Journal.The trial of Wm, Wagoner,I charged with the murder of his wife in Greene county, eight years ago, began Monday with Judge Grubbs on the stand.The jury was impaneled, the opening statement was made, and the first witness for [the prosecution was examined Monday.Tuesday the facts relating to the death of Sarah Wagoner were drawn out froin witnesses from Greene county. Her dead body was taken from a cistern at her home near Newark the morning of October 10, 1801. She had been missed and search was instituted with the above result. The cistern cover was partly on and was removed by the searching party. The body was caught by grappling the clothing. Women testified [that when dressing her for burial three marks were found on her body, one back of the ear, |appearing as if made by rubbing against sonething. The other two were on the throat, one on either side.The physical condition of the woman while living was described. She was badly crippled and moved with difficulty.Wagoner had not lived at home for nearly a year, and had been absent from the county.Testimony was introduced bear-
