BRUTE’S WORKASSAULTED WHITE WOMAN ANDTHEN KILLED HER ANDTHREE CHILDREN.HACKED THEIR BODIES TO PIECES lt;Two Hundred Men A-ein Pursuit With Dogs and His Capture IsCertain — He WillBeLynched.Hoarst News Service.New Orleans, La., Nov. 13.Twohundred men with dogs are searching for tho negro who killed Mrs.Edna Opelous and h^r three childrenat Rayne, La., this afternoon.The murderer was tracked into apine thicket and his capture will be4the work of but a few hours.Mrs. Opelous and her three children were killed following the negro’sassault upon the mother. Her bodywas hacked to pieces and the children were mutilated beyond any possiblef4recognition.The husband,coming home, discovered the tragedyend organized a posse from Crowleyand Rayne. The dogs picked up th*trail and the negro will be lynchedwhen captured.Mrs. Opelous was a daughter of afamous Louisiana family. The city ofOpelousas was named for her husband’s family.
