It is reported that a serious shooting affray occurred in the eastern part of this county Monday night, in which Henry Wiggins shot Carlin Meador through the breast and arm with a revolver. The row started over some cattle belonging to Meador, which had trespassed on Wiggins’ premises. While they were trying t,o adjust the matter a wrangle crept in and Wiggins claim* that Meader a:t inpted to strike him with a club .ad lie shot him in se’f defense. Wiggins gave himself up to the local ohic *rs awaiting I he outcome of Meador's injuries iioth men are well to do farmers, living near Hickory 11 i I!.
