Burglary, past record are factors in man's sentenceA 27-year-old Winnebago man was sentenced to three years in prison Monday by County Court Branch 3 Judge William II Carver on a burglary charge.Carver ordered the sentencing for Michael S. Marvin The sentence will be served at the Wisconsin State Prison in Waupun.Marvin was convicted of burglarizing the Dave Luft DX Service Station, 1104 Ore* gon St., on Sept, 2. Marvin was apprehended shortly after the breakin was delected by Oshkosh police.The judge ordered that the prison term isn’t the result of the sole burglary charge as much as it is with the past record of Marvin who has been convicted of three other .burglaries and a worthless check count. On each of those occaetons he received separate probationary terms.{'/Martin, who had been confined at the Tellurian Community at the Winnebago Mental Health Institute, pleaded guilty on Oct. 14. The sentenc* ing was made on the basis of a presentence report Carver requested A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Bert Parry, 19, of 822 Otter Ave., who was charged with breaking in to the First Assembly of God Church, 1325 Elmwood Ave , May 16 and the B’Nai Israel,1121 Algoma Blvd., May 17.Farry, jailed in lieu of $5,000 bond, was also given the services of Robert J. Roels, an Oshkosh attorney. Farry’s hearing is set for Nov. 18.James J. Schmiedel, 18, of 3821 Ripon Road, waived a preliminary hearing and was transferred into Circuit Court.
