Girl in Overalls Posing as Boy Is Taken in CustodyMarie Forrest, 18; wearing boys’ clothing and giving her home as St. Paul, Minn., is in custody of' Mrs. Alice Warsaw, police matron, held for Investigation concerning • her movements in Waterloo the last few days. She was picked lip at..7:45 p. ni. yesterday by Detective Ralph Davis.To the police matron Marie told a story of tramping the last three years, saying she has posed as a boy In this, vicinity since early in October. She was clad in light-colored overalls and had the appearance of a young hobo.Her mother, she said, ran. away with a man when Marie was a young girl and her father died several years ago. She thinks her mother, too, is dead.Dorothy Gierns, a girl of 17 whose home is at Dubuque, Ia„ is also in custody, of Mrs. Warsaw, held for arrival of Dubuque authorities.
