They drank ron«iderable liquor on the trip, and became badly Intoxicated. When they left the Oaks resort In the canyon to come back to Ogden; the tc*up became unmmagoabl* rnd dashed down the canyon at great speed. Near the Hermitage they passed Thome* Feeney, who was out driving with his family. He realized the peri! in which the women were, and stopped his vehicle and left his chlU dren at the Hermitage ,and started down the canyon after the runaway team. After going about a half mile be picked up two of the girls In a semi-« nnrclous condition, bndly bruised and bleeding. They had Jumped from the vehicle. He then continued down the canyon n quarter of a mile* further, where h^ found the other two occupant* of the buggy underneath the vehicle, bleeding and cursing because they could not get out from underneath the demolished rig. The horses were lying among the boulders and could not move With the help of a farmer, Mr. Feeney was able to get the women from under th* surrey, and took them to the sanitarium at the mouth of the canyon. Helit* London was notified and sent the ambulance and brought them back to Ogden, where Dr. K. M. • ‘onroy g.ive them medical attendance.
