2 Held; Linked to RobberyA pair of northside Manitowoc residents are presently being held bv police for alleged involvement m the armed robbery of the Manitowoc Motor Hotel, at 204 N Eighth St , Manitowoc, early Sunday morning, ac cording to Captain of City Detectives Robert Schmidt One of the two, a 19 vear-old Manitowoc man. is presently being held in the city jail, Schmidt said, and it was ex pec ted that he would be charged with armed robbery this Tuesday afternoon.A 19-year-old woman is presently being held in the County Jail pending consultation with the district attorney concerning possible charges According to Schmidt, the woman “was in the area” at the time of the theft and allegedly knew enough about the robbery to face possible charges According to Schmidt the two were picked up after an investigation by police The woman was arrested at her apartment Monday afternoon The man was picked up at 8 p m Monday at a downtown bar The money, approximated $1,000 taken from the hotel, and the shotgun used m the robbery have not been recovered, Schmidt said In a related incident, four Manitowoc people (two men and two women all age 19 or 201 are presently waiting voluntarily at the Waukesha County Jail foi questioning by Manitowoc police According to the Waukesha Freeman, the lour were picked up by Waukesha police at A 30 a m Tuesday after they tried to exchange 30 dollar bills ior six five dollar bills According to Captain Schmidt, Manitowoc police belie\e the four may have information on the robbery or the whereabouts of the stolen money and missing shotgun
