2 Found Guilty Of Sheep Thefts. ZTEC - A District Court Jurydeliberated i’,i hours before finding two men guilty of charges of sheep stealing Thursday night. The jury recommended leniency in sentencing Nelson H. Mackey, 62, and Vernon R. Snodgrass, 38. Stenendng has been deferred until attorneys can prepare a presentencing report.The men were accused of taking sheep belonging to Victor and Deb Paulek of Hesperus, Colo. Hie alleged incident took place in New Mexico, south of Tiffany, Colo.The case went to the jury at 4:35 p.m., end the verdict was returned at 10 p.m. Mrs. Donovan Shurtliff was the foreman.
