Nelson completely exonerated Osear Felton, deputy city marshal, who, on last Friday morning fired four shots into the body of the unfortunate man, which resulted fatallyon Sunday afternoon.The story of the witnesses was a complete reiteration of the story of the tragedy as told by the Silver Belt three hours after the tragedy. While intoxicated Nelson met Felton in the Acme saloon, where he upbraided the officer for premitting him to remain in jail over night when it was within his power to have secured his immediate release. Felton, -realizing that the man was irunk, walked from the saloon and proceeded north on Broad street. At a point just outside of the business dis-:rict Nelson passed Felton. The officer »poke to him pleasantly, and in reply kelson mumbled something. Before continuing twenty feet Nelson turned | luddenly and fired two shots in rapid J mceession at Felton.
