Bidenour and Franke Gates officiated on the jury.The body of the dead man, accompanied by a brother, was taken to Mesa for burial yesterday morning. A brother of the deceased who was with himconstantly during Nelson’s last hours, denies the story that Jack Nelson, before dying, stated that he wished hehad put one shot in Felton where it would have eounted. While suffering intense agony Nelson remarked that hewished Felton had fired a shot that• __would have been more effective. On several occasions he asked how the officer was getting along and expressed satisfaction when told that he was only slightly injured and would recover.
