Mrs Lucy Hicks of Oxnard paid $10 in the local justice court today on her appearance before Constable Henry Helmold on four traffic charges. She was given a ticket for parking on the highway, Improper headlights, registration certificate not displayed in car, and having no operator’s license. She explained to the court that her operator’s license was in her purse, her registration certificate in the back of her car, her headlights went wrong that night and w'ere fixed the next day, and that she ran out of gas on the highway and had no alternative but to park j there. Tne acting justice of peace fined her $10 on the last charge, holding that she could have moved the car off the road.
