ReTival of a Noted Tragedy, Madison, Wis., Nov. 1.—The Kuehni murder case wili be upon the criminal calendar of the Dane County court, which opens its November term ten days hence. It is not expected to be reached for some time, as the civil cases will first be taken up. Meanwhile Kuehni remains in jail, and as Jar as bis interests are concerned, the ita8tion remains unchanged from what it was when the sheritf chased him to Norway and brought him back to answer lor the crime. He maintains good health, bat is rather pale as a result of his long incarceration and Jack of exercise. The only liberty allowed him is the freedom of the jail corridor. Attorney Seebeck-er, who will defend him, saysthere will be no change in the line of defense heretofore announced, namely, that Kuehni did not commit the murder. He is not yet advised as to what may be attempted by the prosecution, but intimates that there will be no plea of insanity or other substitute for that of innocence.
