Ramos Dies Of AsphyxiationJohnny Ramos, a lifelong resident of Fort Stockton, was found dead of asphyxiation in a motel room here Saturday.The 28-year-old man was discovered in the motel room about 3:40 p.m. Saturday by a maid, according to Chief of Police Tony Cordova, who viewed the death as accidental.Cordova said Ramos had been dead for about three days prior to his discovery, although themaid had opened the door on the two days previously and saw the man’s body in the bed. She thought he was sleeping and did not enter.The chief of police said a gas heater in the motel room was on and Ramoswas probably asleep at the time of death.Ramos was born Oct. 21, 1951 in Fort Stockton.
