The New Albany Secret Service, arecently incorporated organization, is now in operation in this city and vicinity. it developed Thursday afternoon following the arrest of Frank Banet, soft drink stand proprietor at Floyd Knobs. He was taken into custody by Patrolman Clarence Daily, and Clarence E. Davis, manager, and Dunvard E. Louden, president of the New Albany Secret Service, on a charge of having possession of gaming devices.The officers searched the place and state they found several slot machines. Banet will be arraigned before Mayor Robert W. Morris. Banet was arrested Wednesday on a charge of selling intoxicating liquor.The round-up of soft drink stand owners made Wednesday and the arrest of Banet on the gambling charge Thursday, it was stated by Mr. Davis, is only the beginning of “the fight to clean up New Albany, which is in abad condition.”Davis, who resides at 2003 Culbertson avenue, New Albany, and i in ••urn I-/1 F.
