Charged With Assault.Ora Gibbs, of Union township, was arrested Saturday by Sheriff Gehrke and brought ot this city, charged with assault with intent to commit murder. On examination before Justice of the Peace Tyler the defendant waived preliminary hearing and was held to the grand jury in $2,000 bond, which was furnished and the defendant is at liberty. Gibbs is charged with striking P. M. Wheeldon over the head with an iron hook, the blow rendering Wheeldon unconscious for a time. Wheeldon was taken to the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown for treatment.
