She left home on Friday morning and the distracted husband, E. O. Brooks, arrived in Bakersfield yesterday in an effort to apprehend the woman and the girl in case they should 'come throug here. He notified the police 0 and sheriff’s office to be on the look- g out for the woman and girl, who -c were last seen wandering north on 1the desert in bos Apgeies county, j The two were on foot. (Without Money or Food. tBrooks and his wife were married c only three months ago and the little g girl Is his daughter by a former s wife. He stated yesterday that the g woman left home after he went to jwork Friday morning and did not take money or food with her, as the small amount of change .in the house was untouched. As there had been no trouble between the couple he believes that she has become temporarily deranged and in a mad fancy has taken to the desert with the little child. Hoping that some auto traveler may pick the woman-and child, up, Brooks came to Bakersfield on thetrain yesterday.The woman was dressed in a brown dress and the child had a red sweater. The woman is a middle aged woman, aged about 40 years.11
