Dr. Ritter Cleared.The casftj'of the State vs. Dr. Ritter, cnarged with assault and battery for shooting Samuel Roberts at West Baden last summer, was resumed in the Orange Circuit Court last Friday after a lapse of one week. Tfe taking ot the testimony was concluded about noon on Saturday and the afternoon and part of the evening was consumed by the attorneys arguing the case. The case was submitted to the jury about 9 o’clock and they wrestled with it until about 8 o’clock Sunday morning, finally returning a verdict of not! guilty.—Paoli Republican.
