Don ton/ formerly employed by the Bn ion Nat ional bank of Chicago. He surprised the prosecuting officers by pleading “not guilty” to two indictment® charging him with the embezzlement of more than $35,000 from thebank. Linn, alias .Tack Cordon, wept to the home of Jacob Schafer, ten miles east of this place, called Mrs. Schafer to the door, and shot her. killing her instantly. He then-fired atiShafer, missing him. Linn was arrested a few hours later in Wyomink. twelve miles distant, and is how in jail in this city. The murder was caused -by jealously.
