STAIB - Dorothy D., 70, Eighth Ward, died Nov. 6, 1998, at Memorial Medical Center. Born April 18, 1928, in Johnstown, daughter of Charles and Rosella (Collins) Saly. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Michael and Robert; and sisters, Rosemary Funk andKathleen Hickey.Survived by husband of 47 years,Clair P. Staib;children, Barbara, wife of KevinDecker, Stafford,Va.; James Paul, married to former Andrea Rogers,Laurel, Md.; Patricia, wife of Michael Wheeler, Sterling, Va.; and Christine, wife of David Layton, Johnstown; grandchildren, Erin and Sean Decker, Noelle AnnaStaib, Justin and Lucas Wheeler and Collin Layton; brother, Charles, Pittsburgh; and sister, Agnes Berkley, Johnstown. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Observed 47th wedding anniversary May 5, 1998. Member of Visitation BVM Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Moskal Kennedy Colonial Funeral Home, Ohio Street and Highland Avenue, where vigil service will be held Sunday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Visitation BVM Catholic Church, Monsignor Robert Saly, her nephew, and Father Martin Cingle, concelebrants. Committal service at Grandview Mausoleum.
