Hold Father-in-LawA 41-year-old Braidwood man,Donald Black, is being held on an open charge without bond inthe Will County Jail in connection with the death of his son-in-law, Donald M. Yedlieka, 26, of Diamond, who was pronounced dead on arrival at 9 p.m. Monday at the Morris Hospital.Will County authorities reported this morning they were advised by Grundy County Sheriff Richard Pierce that Yedlieka and Black had scuffled in Black’s home before the injured man was taken to the hospital by Patterson ambulance.Grundy County Coroner W. Clark Davis said Yedlieka reportedly went to Black’s homeRequest Delay On Sidewalks In SubdivisionTwo city committees met Monday night with Carl Harmon and Janies McElvain on a request to delay installation of sidewalks until spring when homes are completed in Harmon’s subdivision on Lisbon Rd.Walter Hundt. chairman of the water and sever committee, reported this morning that the developers said construction work would damage sidewalks if they were put in now. The aldermen said it is expected that the extension will be recommended at the City Council meeting Tuesday.Bolen’s proposed industrial park plans were reviewed relative to water facilities. Acting Mayor Donald Davidson, alsochairman of the street and alley committee, said an eight-inch line was proposed by Bolen but the city was studying a 10-inch main for future expansion. Officials talked about paying the additional cost if the larger main is installed.City officials attending theMonday night meeting in theCity Hall were aldermen Hundt, Davidson, Charles Roseland, Floyd Siron, Tracy Adcock and Richard Schweickert, consulting engineer.where his (Yedlieka's) wife and infant son Donald Eric were visiting. Yedlieka wanted to take the baby and a scuffle resulted between Black and Yed-licka, Davis stated.An autopsy was scheduled today at the Reeves Funeral Home in Morris to determinethe cause of death.Will County Deputy Policeman K. A. Siciniski reported he was called by Sheriff Pierce from the Morris Hospital afterYedlieka was pronounced dead on arrival by Dr. Hugo Avalos and Coroner Davis. SheriffPierce told Deputy Siciniskithat a family argument tookplace at the Braidwood home, according to Black. The father-in-law told Pierce, Will Countyreported, that earlier in thenight Yedlieka beat his wife. When the young man came to Black’s house, the latter tried to put him out. Black said they scuffled and both fell to the floor. Later Yedlieka began gasping for breath, Black told Sheriff Pierce, according to the Will County report.Black was taken into custodyat 9:45 p.m. at the Morris Hospital by Will County authorities. He was booked and locked up on an open charge. No bond was set.No report was available from Sheriff Pierce.Donald M. Yedlieka is survived by his wife. Linda; one infant son, Donald Eric; his father, Louis, all of Diamond and one sister, Mrs. Victor (Ver-neda) Hagberg of Essex.His mother, Frances, preceded him in death in 1952.Born Dec. 1, 1942, in Joliet, he was educated in the Coal City schools.In 1967 he married Linda Black of Braidwood in Morris. He was employed as a construction worker.Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from the Reeves Funeral Home, Coal City, to Assumption Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. with the Rev. George T. Flynn officiating.Chapel hours are from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Burial will be in Braceville-Gardner Cemetery.
