Altoona man charged in girl’s rapeGALLITZIN - An Altoona man has been charged with repeatedly raping a young girl under the age of 13 from 1994 until 1998. Police said Bruce David Whitehead, 35, of the 2700 block of Walnut Avenue, sexually assaulted the girl daily.Whitehead was living at the victim’s home on Clark Street at the time of the alleged rapes, which are said to have started when the girl was 9 years old and lasted until she was 13.Whitehead was taken to the Cambria County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bond.
