Charles Rector, accused in the kidnap-murder of Carolyn Davis, Wednesday will be in court where his attorney will argue that not enough evidence exists against Rector to hold him without bond.Rosemary Lehmberg, assistant district attorney, said no other court dates have been set for the three suspects in the case: Howard Simon. Anthony Miller and Rector.The suspects were indicted on capital murder chargesTuesday. They were arrested over a period of days following the murder. They have been in the Travis County Jail without bond since Oct. 26.Davis, a former UT art student who was an employee of the Capital National Bank credit office, was abducted from her apartment Oct. 17 after surprising intruders. Her body was found near Tom Miller Dam on Town Lake the next day.After being shot in thehead, Davis was dumped in the lake, where she drowned.Two rifles allegedly belonging to Davis boyfriend were found in Rector’s car, as well as the victim’s 1978 Andersonm courtHigh School ring Rector and the two other suspects, all paroled felons, live at the Community Cross Road Home, a halfway house at 2935 E. 12th St.
