30 Shots Fired in AreaGunman Threatens Life of Pharmacist on FarmA Fond du Lac pharmacist remains disturbed over a shooting incident which threatened his life and that of his family Saturday night.Clarence A. Becker o f Route 3, proprietor o f McKnight Drug Co., 72 S. Main St., said approximately 30 gun shots were fired in his farm yard by an assailant who now is confined to Winnebago State Hospital. He said two of the shots were fired directly at him but missed.Becker who lives five miles south of the city on County Trunk K, said the man had three guns and a revolver in his possession when he drove into the farm yard about 10:30 p.m. Saturday and threatened to kill Becker.He shot twice at me,” said Becker. He would have shot anything that moved . . . We all were hysterical.”Becker continued: He was kicking at the back door, then he went to the windows and around the house . . . We crawled upstairs on our hands and knees ... He said he’d burn the barn down.”Becker who raises many thoroughbred horses said the assailant shot the lock off the barn door and damaged the barn windows.In the house at the time were Becker, his wife, Donna and their two children — Sandra 16 and Karen 10.
