House of Correction, kept police at bay early Sunday in Canton for three hours by hold-ing his wife at knifepoint and threatening to kill her.State police from Litchfield Barracks finally talked MacKenzie into surrendering, and he released his wife unharmed from her valley House Hotelapartment.The hotel, police said, was owned by Mrs. Bernice Martin, mother of MacKenzie’s wife.Police charged MacKenzie with assault with intent to commit murder, being a fugitive from justice and resisting ar. rest. MacKenzie was held with-out bond in Litchfield Correctional institute.
