Man ChargedIn BeatingSPRINGFIELD (UPI) — A 30-year-old Urbana manwas charged with first degree murder yesterday in the fatal beating of a Springfield mother of three childrenRichard Jett, charged in the slaying of Hetty Fawlea Irwin, was to be questioned today by police in connection with the death of another Springfield woman.Police said they planned to question Jett about the Saturday stomping death of another young Springfield mother, Mrs. Larry Taylor, 20, and the seriousInjury of her infant son.I'he body of Mrs. Irwin, who died yesterday in University hospital in Columbus, was found lying along a rural road about fivemiles from here early Tuesday.9 yJett was arrested at Urbana. about 15 miles north of here, within an hour afterthe woman’s body was discovered by a passerby.
