The sixth, Mrs. Anna Butler, widow of the dead man, returned to her scat without .giving testimony after a short conference between Judge Lipez, the district attorney, and defense attorney James T. Smith.Two of the witnesses, relatives of the dead man, told of events leading up to the shooting of Butler,Charles R. Butler of McElhattan, brother of the dead man, said he was r neighbor of Shacile’s. He testified that he and Shadle had made plans to go groundhog hunting early on the morning of July 2, They picked up rifles and started out on the trip, stopping first at the Buffalo Inn on Route 220 where they had several glasses of draught beer.
