Five Accidents Here On Weekend; One Driver FinedFive accidents, resulting in one arrest, occurred in Mt. Vernon during the weekend.A car driven by Loren Stull, of Wayne City, glanced off of a light pole at 4:20 a. m. Sunday and rammed into Lacey’s Texaco station at 1701 Broadway. Both the station and car was damaged.Stull was booked for leaving the scene of an accident and was fined $30.40 before Police Magistrate Allan Dulaney.At 7:15 p. m. Sunday cars driven by R. E. Watkins of Woodlawn and Willie McCain of 500 Grand collided at 12th and Perkins.At 8:05 p. m. Saturday a car driven by Howard Hale, 1011 Lamar, struck a parked truck owned by Fred Heil, 320 Main street. Hell’s truck was parked in front of his home.An unusual accident occurred in the 1000 block of Broadway at 5:25 p.. m. Saturday. A parked car, owned by W. A. Wilson of RFD 3, rolled back and struck a car owned by James L. Brook-man of 116 Castleton.At 3:30 p. m. Saturday cars driven by Mrs. Howard Campbell, 1881 Richview Road, and A. B. Kirkpatrick, 112 north 12th, figured in a collision at 11th and Harrison.
