An Accident to One of John A. Collins’Drivers.Mack Looney hired one of John A. Collins' best drivers last Saturday night and drove out to Milton Hoffman’s, three and a half miles west of the city, to attend a party.Mack hitched his horse to a post and was lost in the festivities of the evening until 11:30 p. m.At that hour he went out after his steed, but found-that he had slipped his bridle and cut his throat in a frightful manner on a barbed wirefence.Mr. Looney obtained another horse and came to town after Dr. Porter, the veterinarian, but when they reached the Hoffman farm they found that Mr. Collins’ horse had bled to death.
