Actually, from where I was, all 1 could see was the throwing motion of his arm, but when 1 rode by for a closer look one of them cursed me, so 1 stopped to see what they were doingthere. *'This was at 9:20 p.m.,Bennett said.Bennett said that when he walked closer to the group heIsraelClosesGolanIsrael closed off the occupied Golan Heights today because of whaj,*a military source in Tel Aviv said was a possible new round of fighting with Syria. Michael Whiteaker told Bennett he (Bennett couldn’t do that to his friend.Bennett said he told Whiteaker if he felt that way about it, he’d take him along too and then a third youth, Mark Allen, joined in the argument.Bennett reported that he told Allen he was to come along with him, to the phone, and they jumped me.Bennett said that George Lane came by in his car, equipped with a two way radio,and radioed for help.Bennett was givenemergency treatment at the hospital and was scheduled for X-rays today to determine the extent of his injuries.The youths arrested as a result of the incident were Hall, 20, charged with possession of alcoholic beverage by a minor, disorderly conduct andresisting arrest withoutviolence.Whiteaker, 24, was charged with disorderly conduct, assault and battery, interfering with a police officer in line of duty and resisting arrest without violence.Allen, 18, is charged with disorderly conduct, interferingwith a police officer in line of duty and assault and battery.Bond on Allen has been set at $406, set at $608 for Whiteaker and set at $356 on Hall.
