Friday.Donald Geater, 37, of Cedar Rapids, received a term of up to five years in prison when he appeared before District Judge B. J. Maxwell. The sentence was suspended and Geater was placed on probation. He also was fined $1,000 and court costs.-Geater pleaded guilty September, 1969, but sentencing was continued pending outcome of the trial of Joseph Abodeely on an abortion charge.The charges were filed against r- i Geater. Abodeely and Merle Meyers, following an investigation of an alleged abortion ring. Abodeely received a five-year sentence after pleading guilty last June.
