win pay oniy ms iair snare ol the tax burden.Vandals Do Much DamageHalloween vandals accounted for more than $1,000 in damage to windows in Helena.According to police records more than 10 windows were smashed in private homes by projectiles ranging in size from B-B guns to rocks and one garbage can.Chief of Police Don Raw said that he felt the distruction was I caused by what he termed “borderline youth,” or college age men.Complaints were received early this morning from three Helena businesses involving broken windows.The Motor Mart had two large plate glass, show windows smashed, which were valued, according to the manager at about $400. Caird Engineering sustained damage amounting to almost $300, and Eileen’s Drive-In suffered window damage in ex cess of $200.Police say they are pressing a full scale investigation into these incidents of vandalism, which according to Chief Raw, “must be stopped, now.”A reward for information lead | ing to the arrest and conviction of the vandals, in the amount of $200, has been posted by local business in an effort to put an end to the vandalism.Halloween
