(from Our Correspondent.) MANDEVILLE, October 30.— The weekly sitting of the Resident Magistrate's Court was held here recently before His Honour Mr. Co. C. Sandford Resident Magistrate with Mr. O. G. Tomlinson Clerk of the Courts prosecuting. Vincent Francis charged with larceny of 11 flower pots the pro perty of Adina Larmond valued 27 pleaded guilty. He was ad judged to be 14 years old and was ordered to receive 10 strokes of the tamarind switch. Edward Shim charged with breach of the spirit license law— not keeping a stock book pleaded guilty. He was fined £ 2 or 10 days. Mr. G. A. Ward represented the defendant. Hoo You charged with a similar offence also pleaded guilty and was fined 10/6 or 7 days. Mr. L. P. Delapenha appeared for the defend ant. In this case there was only one entry omitted. Vivian Bowra charged with a breach of the Health Law not hav ing proper sanitary convenience pleaded guilty. He was fined 5/- or 7 days. Wilhel Brown pleaded guilty to a charge under the Health Law, de positing liquid matter on the soil. She was fined 20/- or 10 days. James Channer charged with a treach of the motor vehicle law on 2 counts—driving a motor truck not licensed and not having a traf ficator pleaded guilty. The defend ant had 4 previous convictions un der the same law, and was thnee £ 4 or 30 days, on the first charge and 20 or 10 days on the sec ond. Harry Chamberlain pleaded not guilty to a charge of larceny of 1 short and 1 pair of trousers, the property of Vincent Francis.
