They Got Too Gay.On Wednesday evening Lon Watson and Ed Ward loaded up a good-sized jag each and went to a house of eay virtue in the north end of town, and there proceeded to raise sheo! generally. The Marshal was sent for, and he and night-watchman | Smail arrested both and locked them up in jail. They were brought jout yesterday morning and taken *. »before 11 is Honor, the Mayor, who,after hearing how bad the boys had;been, lined Watson *25.00 andcosts, in all $d‘hU0, and Ward$20.00 and costs, in all $28.00, indefault of winch they both went to*jail and will be compelled to worki ‘the amounts out on the streets.Watson was so boisterous after he was put in jail that Mrs. Moore \ asked the marshal to put him in a cell, the sheriff being absent. When he approached the door to unlock it again, Watson hurled a heavy piece of a crock, which he had just broken, at the marshal. It missed him, however, and struck night-watchman Smail on the side ( f the head, making an ugly gash and felling him to the floor. Mr. Smailr*had his wound dressed and was able to be out yesterday, but was suffer-* Ving a good deal.Watson will probably have to answer for this last offense in the cir cuit court.
