So C alled Ku Klux.The so-called Ku Klux of York and Spartanburg are surrendering in large numbers, while a few, it is said, are making very humble confessions. tPoor fellows, their mamas ought to send them sugar teuts^ to stimulate their delicate nerves. The idea of men, calling themselves Ku Klux. surrendering themselves and praying for forgiveness is more than absurd aud less than ridiculous.— We don’t believe there ever was an organized band of Ku Klux in our State; and the few calling themsels K. Ks. are merely thoughtless boys who deemed it smart to brag, when tlmre was no danger; and to cry, when prison walls frowned them in the face.A good dramatist could win fame by burlesquing Grant’s raid on imaginary Ku Klux of “raw heads aud bloodybones.”
