Second Trial ofSuit for DamagesStarted TodayA jury was being selected in the district court here today for the trial of a damage suit brought as result of a single car accident on Highway 61’s Country club curve three miles north of here more than four years ago.The plantiff in the action is Clarence Morrow, 43, Chicago, formerly of Fort Madison. Ro |bert Redd of Fort Madison is the defendant.The suit was tried in the district court in January 1962 and the jury at that time brought ina court-directed verdict for the plaintiff, Redd.Morrow appealed the verdict! to the Iowa Supreme Court. The high court remanded the | case to the district court for another trial.Morrow claims he was permanently injured on Sept. 2,11961, when riding in a car driven by Redd. The car went off the road at the Country club curve.Morrow is asking for $27,500for his alleged permanent injuries.Attorneys for Morrow are Joseph L. Phelan and William Mf. Napier.
