D., May 3l.-~Offleers to-i day are seeking to Identlfy^the man killed by a posse of the sheriff’s office, police officers and two prohibition officers, including F. L. Watkirb, five miles east of Minot early yesterday, after the Martin State bank, of Martin, was robbed.The unidentified man was killed when officers overtook the car In which the robbers were escaping and poured shot into it. One was killed, another wounded and the third surrendered. The third man gave his name as Patrick Farley, and it is said he also was known as George Weber.Papers and liberty bonds of consid-bank and silks stolen from a store in Martin were recovered.J. J. Breher, president of the' Martin bank, met an automobile as he was returning to hia home yesterday. He entered ''the bank and found it hadbeen robbed, He gvo the alarm and searching parties set out from Minot.A light car and a heavier car had been raiSBing and officers set cut to find them, believing that the robber*, had stolen them. Coming upon a light ear the officers fired shots at the tires and yelled to the driver to stop, but did not want to shoot into the car as they were not sure that the menwere' the robbers. The men jumpedout of the car and escaped.
