proceedings.Our community was called to mournthe loss of J. R. Crippen, May 23d. Itwas with profound sorrow that we received the news of his death. He was a man whose face was familiar in this vicinity. In his death our community has lost a citizen and the church a member whose place cannot easily be filled. He was a friend, kind, cordial, generous, and energetic. No enconium which we can express could add one particle to the bright record of so good and true a man.
