ROBERT ANGUS MAC LEODA brief illness claimed the life of Robert MacLeod in the Brandon General Hospital on May 20, 1991. He was 78 years of age.Robert was born to Robert Daniel MacLeod and Katherine MacLeod in Mather, Manitoba on May 18, 1913. He received his education at Harl-ington and then moved on to employment in Winnipeg and Lachine, Quebec. During World War II, he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Upon his discharge from the service, he returned to the Harlington district to farm. He worked in the lumber and construction industry and owned a service station in Kenville. In 1967, he moved to Thompson, Manitoba where he was a contractor in heavy construction for twenty years. In 1987, he retired to Swan River. Mr. MacLeod was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 42 years.Robert was proud of his sons and grandchildren and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.Lett to mourn his passing are: his wife, Norma (Mullin), Brandon, MB;three sons—Ken (Muriel), Fernie, BC, Lynn, Rankin Inlet, NWT, and Glen (Wendy), Edson, AB; one brother, John (Margaret), Swan River; three sisters, Mae (Arnie) Sigurdson, Swan River, Annabelle Smith, Windsor, ON, and Jessie (Harry) Lutz, Kelowna, BC; and six grandchildren—Shaun, Kendra, Mackenzie, Brett, Scott, and Dean.Robert was predeceased by his parents, Robert Daniel and Katherine, a son Trenton, and grandson, Dunnigan.Rev. Eric Pul lam conducted the funeral service from St. Andrew’s United Church in Swan River on Thursday, May 23 at 10:00 a.m. Interment followed in the Durban Cemetery.Pallbearers were Eric Martinussen, Nick Bobick, Gordon McCullough, Mike Oleksyn, Menno Fedrau, and Bruce Eiffert.In memory of Robert, donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.Pauli Funeral Home was in care of the arrangements.
