The yonng man who did the shooting is Allen Gibbs, the 19-year-old son of Rev. Jesse W. Cobbs. He used a 32-caliber revolvsr. The trouble originated on Tuesday evening at a meeting held at Hayden to celebrate the victory won in the Pike road, elections on that day.The Graves boys were the leaders of j the jollification. Boyd Graves it seems* caught hold of Cobb’s coat and twisted' him around in a rather rough manner* and was remonstrated with for so do*] ing. Hot words ensued, but before coming to blows bystanders interfered* and the trouble was for the ti me averted. Thursday night, at an :.ce cream , supper, the quarrel was renewed, Boyd Graves being the aggressor. The a boro result followed.
