DIAGNOSIS CONFIRMED.An autopsy performed Wednesday afternoon at 6 oelock by a government physician on Ned Walter Jones, 22, Gastonia CCC camp recruit who died at midnight Tuesday after a three-hour illness, confirmed a previous diagnosis that he was the victim of pulmonary edema, which causes sudden cessation of the functioning of the lungs, ft was learned today. Funeral services for the youth, who was transferred here only last Saturday from Fort Bragg, were held Thursday morning at the home of his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Charles W. Jones, in Canton, Tnterment was in a Canton cemetery.
