Charges Filed In Women's Jail MeleeA female prisoner has been charged with assaulting a peace officer and destroying jail property as the result of predawn Thursday disturbance in the main women's jail in Ventura.Robin Lynn Inman, 21, was charged with one count of assault on a peace officer and one count of destruction of jail property in a complaint issued Thursday by the county district attorney’s office.Deputies said both charges were filed as misdemeanors and Miss Inman was expected to be arraigned today in Ventura Municipal Court. Her bail was set at $1,000.Although 10 women inmates participated in the melee, Miss Inman was the only woman charged. Deputies said no other charges are expected.Miss Inman, according to deputies, allegedly threw a television set at deputy Tom Convery as he entered the cell block at the outbreak of the 12:30 a.m. disturbance. He managed to dodge the set and was unhurt.Miss Inman had been sentenced to serve-66 days in county jail on a charge of violating her probation on grand theft, deputies said.'Hie jail was flooded during the incident, and water knocked out telephone service and radio communication for nearly two hours as it seeped through the ceilings of the second and first floors
