Local Man Held as Attacker SuspectA North Long Beach construction worker was held last night by sheriff’s deputies in connection with the discovery of a serm-nudo woman, also of North Long Beach, who apparently had been attacked, beside a little used Norwalk road early yesterday.The suspect, Henry Aired Hampton, 39, was questioned by Everett Kennedy, Long Beach police detec-tive, who reported he was satisfied'Hampton was not the man responsible for the slaying of Mrs. Laura Trelstad of Long Beach on May 12.The victim was Identified a* Mrs. Violet Eunic* Asher, 1655 McKenzie' street, North Long Beach. Her attacker fled in his automobile when another vehicle, driven by Robert Smith of Norwalk, approached.Smith observed the license number of the departing car and tracod it to Hampton, deputies said,(Continued on Pago 16)
