Jerdemann was the son of luck’s live-in girlfriend, Treniajerdemann.Murray was the only witness to estify on behalf of the defense. 5uck is relying on an insanity lefense, and state’s witnesses lave been questioned on whether 3uck talked about being moved -y spirits or outside forces to killDarren.“I couldn’t understand how he could do something like that because it didn’t seem in his character. He was gentle,” Murray said of the murder.Murray said she was divorced from Buck’s father when Gary was 2, and his father had custody of him. Buck came to live with Murray when he was an adult. He moved out in June 199 L She said Buck had three black T-shirts depicting a devil with a sickle, and a skull and serpent. She said she didn’t approve of the apparel and told him “I didn’t think they were the kind of thing he should be wearing.”She also said she found cassette recordings that upset her. One such song contained the lyrics “Come to the Sabbath, Satan’s there.”Buck remarked after his arrest that he felt as if he were two different people,” with the different personalities telling him what to do.I want to just lash out at the world,” Murray recalled Buck saying.She also noted that the day before the murder. Buck remarked that Gerdemann’s chil-and he was sometimes forced to leave the house to get away from them.Testimony has shown that Buck became angiy with Darren after the boy misbehaved.
