Perry Steven Miller, 21, arrested locally May 21, and charged preliminary with rape and assault and battery with intent to com mit a felony (rape) has had four formal charges lodged against him in Hamilton County Superior Court, Bond has been set by Judge V. Sue Shields at $30,500, Miller was charged with kid nap, rape, sodomy, and auto ban ditry as a result of his alleged rape of a 19-year-old Arcadia girl May 16. A fifth charge of as sault and battery with intents to commit a felony (sodomy) was disallowed by Hamilton Circuit Judge Edward F. New following testimony for probable cause late Friday afternoon, Miller, 343 N. Conde street, is now lodged in the Hamilton County Jail. Two Atlanta men arrested at the same time as Miller have been charged with assault and battery after they reportedly were holding loaded small ca libre pistol on Miller at the time police arrived. Free on bond from Tipton City Court are Raymond E. Hunter, 66, and Wayne F. Hunter, 43. Bond was set at $500 on each of the men.
