Seining in Cedar Lake.Ah Taylor and Andrew Stilson, farmers, living near Cedar Lake,were arrested on Wednesday last charged with fishing with a seine ia Cedar Lake. They were tried before Esq. Van Winkle cn Thursday and foundguilty. They were fined §10 each and♦costs. TMs was the lowest fine that could be assessed. The fine and costs amounted to $18 and a few cents for each of them. Deputy Prosecutor Fancher. appeared for the State and G. N. Morton, for the defendants. The witnesses on the part of the State were Torn Cushman and — Logue. Mr. L. it is said has been watching for the law-breakers for some time. The defendants took an appeal to the circuit court, and gave bonds in the sum of fifty dollars each ' for appearance at the next term of court.
