Woman Beaten, HospitalizedMrs. Alicia Roque, about L'd, was badly beaten at her home in the “Little Mexico” community on the San Angelo highway Monday afternoon.She found her way about two blocks to the home of Ed Castro who brought her to the Brady Police Station. She was then taken on to Brady Hospital.m m mOfficers arrested Ernesto Herrera. 30, and placed him in jail. Pending further developments in Mrs. Roque’s condition, only a charge of carrying a pistol had been filed Tuesday against Herrera.Sheriff Luke Vogel and Police Chief Dorman Gibbs agreed that Mrs. Roque had suffered a beating “as bad as I ever saw.” There was a chance that she might lose an eye.
