Wagain an and a Jury In the Circuit Court yesterday.Wolf made his charge when his attorney asked him whether the beer he sold was Intoxicating. “1 don’t think it was intoxicating, the prohibition a-genU and myself drank several bottlesof it ou the way to Cumberland and it didn t make any of us drunk, he testified.The defendant testified that he had been manufacturing and selling beer for some time and that he was under llie impression that the beer did not contain ulcohol and that it was legalto sell and make It.The agents testified that they hadput chased some beer from Wolf that the beer containedandtheyalcohol to n greater extent than allowed by the law They also testified that they seised a large quantity of beer when raided the place on May 13.He was found not guilty. Oswald and Oswald represented the accused. Wolf plead guilty at Cumberland tothe manufacture and possession of heer and was sentenced to 60 days in Jail by Judge Morris A. Soper. Wolf said yesterday that he plead guilty al Cumberland because agent James Tru* ax urged him to do so,A charge of selling liquor against Mrs Earl Leggett and a similar charge against James Brantley, colored, were non prossed by States Attorney Kilo* worth H. Roulette yesterday.Cases in which Truax and his asate* tauta were witnesses will not be tried for some time. The agenta have re* turned to Cumberland.
